Motion Warriors was founded by veteran filmmaker Steve David. Starting as a grip and working up to Director of Photography, Steve had never used a motion control system — they were simply out of reach. Remote camera heads alone could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. So he built his own.

What started as a remote camera head designed for his own productions became the foundation for something much larger. Over the years, Steve built on that original design — adding a lift column for vertical movement, a motorized dolly for automated horizontal movement, integrated 3-channel lens control, and a multi-track recording system — until the Stealth System emerged: a full 8-axis motion control platform built from the ground up by someone who understood exactly what a working filmmaker actually needs on set, and what was missing in existing motion control systems.

The Stealth System is now available to DPs, production companies, and studios across Arizona and the Southwest — and is being introduced to the broader production industry for the first time. Motion Warriors is based in Phoenix, Arizona.

In 2019, Motion Warriors was recognized as a finalist in the Arizona Innovation Challenge — the largest state-sponsored technology commercialization competition in the nation, powered by the Arizona Commerce Authority. Selected from hundreds of applicants, the recognition confirmed what Steve had been building toward: a genuinely novel technology with real commercial potential.
